Buyer beware!!!!!!! When the order was placed, there was no mention of an auto-renewal, nor a $125 cancellation fee.

GRRRRRRRRR..... Since when does placing an on-line order with a credit card constitute a legal contact ? I have already called my credit card company, and they tell me once the charge clears (10 days) to call back and contest it. I should have reported my card stolen prior to calling them, then they would not have been able to hit me with the charge.

At this point, it's not about the money- this is BAD business and very DECEPTIVE. To add further insult, after 3 weeks, have lost ZERO pounds, after following the plan. At least I bought it on Black Friday, so at least it was discounted.

Translation: they could have ripped me off even more than they did ! If you are thinking about signing up for it, think twice !

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $125.

Preferred solution: Refund the $125. I ate the food, so, that is fair..

Nutrisystem Cons: Customer service, Inability to resolve an easy issue, Charging me to quit the program, Misleading guarantee.

They can be reached by calling or chatting in if you need help!

The cancellation fee of $125 is just charged when a customer does not wish to take a second order. When signing up for auto-delivery orders, our customers save 35% off the price of a one-time order. If a customer does not take a second order, they are not really using the auto-delivery but getting a one-time order, so the $125 is charged to make up for the 35% price difference.

All of this can be found on our website when signing up!

As I stated, the $125 cancellation fee was NOT CLEAR in the offering made during the Black Friday sale. This was not clearly articulated on YOUR website, as the website gave both my wife and myself the false impression of a discounted "Black Friday" sale.

In fact, when the order was placed, we understood we had purchased the 28 day program only, and NOT a subscription based service. It was only after we canceled this came to light as we were hit with a cancellation fee.

It's unfortunate Nutrisystem does not stand by their product. Had ANY weight loss occurred after 3 weeks of the program, it is likely, we would have continued. As I stated, the program was followed as directed and ZERO weight was lost after 3 weeks.

It's sad that had this been successful, we would have acted a a poster child for your program.

Furthermore this adds insult to injury as it is 2 weeks until Christmas, which is absolutely HEARTLESS.

Investigating further has determined this falls under Commonwealth of Kentucky statute 514.040 Theft by deception, part (1) sub-section (a).

I pan to discuss this further with our County Attorney.
