I too was on Nutrisystem for several years. Fall of 2018 I had to discontinue.

March of 2019, I re-instated my account. Little did I realize nor was I told, that the terms and program had changed dramatically.

Let me get this straight-- we now get 20 days worth of expensive food (the breakfast muffins are now smaller as well)- for a much higher price than I paid only 6 months ago for 28 days of food?? The public is not stupid. I will have to discontinue the program, as we are retired and living on a fixed income.

I had an online "chat" with a Nutrisystem rep. I was told that the 28 day program. Here was my "answer"... "The Nutrisystem program is not merely food; we also educate our members on proper portion sizes and healthy choices.

Our meal plan covers 28 days and includes opportunities to dine with family and friends. Our goal is to teach you how to not only attain your healthy weight but to maintain it when eating your own foods"

So-- in essence, every month we pay for "being taught" to eat our own food??

This is outrageous! The "rep" offered a $20.00 "discount" on next month's order which I plan to cancel now-- I cannot afford this inflated, dishonest and misleading program.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $250.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Nutrisystem Pros: Weight loss, Convenience, Knowing meals were already prepared.

Nutrisystem Cons: Deceptive marketing and subsitutions, Customer service and deceptive practices in general, Cancellation and staff is beyond rude when cancelling, Inability to resolve an easy issue.

We do not expect anyone to be on our program forever which is why we have incorporated Flex Meals into our meal plans. Each week you are expected to practice two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners, and some snacks on your own using guidelines we provide. You do not need to practice full days on your own and instead we recommend spreading Flex Meals throughout each week. We believe that the Flex Meals are a great way to instill better eating habits for the future once you have reached your goal.
