I did the Nutri-system program a couple of times in the last 25 years (first time was back in the days when they had physical locations where you picked up food.) I lost weight each time I adhered to the diet (which I gained right back after going back to normal food.) The program works but it's expensive; it's a hassle to get food deliveries; you still have to spend money for milk, vegetables, fruits, etc; most of the food tastes lousy and is filled with carbs and preservatives, some of it isn't even particularly low in calories. My advice is forget Nutri-system and buy some measuring cups and Lean Cuisines -- much cheaper, more convenient and healthier.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

They claim the Diabetic D program is safe for people with type 2 diabetes but their food has much higher carb levels than most of the food I usually eat. Why is it that Nutrisystem is allowed to lie to consumers when it's a breach of online fraud? Can't a Federal Agency step in and take action against them for outright lies.

I just started my D plan, and I too have noticed it's not really a true Diabetic food plan..also high in Sodium...

I do agree there should be a government reg on this diet foods as well as claims to be safe for diabetics..

I am although going to continue and see how it does for me...

I also found that the products, some of mine , run the code date very close to expiration date, muffins are very dry at that point... There is way too much tomato sauce based food...and pasta...that's where the salt comes in!!
